ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kurt Niemann, author of “BADGE 411: Based On The Actual Experiences Of A Probation Officer” served as a probation officer for 32 years. He received a B.A. in Sociology and M.S. in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University. He was awarded “Detention Officer of the Year” in Maricopa County, Arizona in 1998. In 1999 he was awarded “Detention Officer Of The Year” by the State of Arizona.

He also served in The United States Marine Corps. He is licensed by the FAA as a Commercial Pilot and a Master Level Martial Artist in Kung Fu, Kenpo, and T’ai Chi Chuan. Presently, he is happily married with two sons, three daughters, and a large number of grandchildren.
